Meeting Rooms in London
The market for outsourced meeting rooms

The market for external meeting rooms in London is split into two categories – corporations that require 'overspill' meeting rooms in the local vicinity when they run out of meeting rooms at their own premises, and the mobile workforce who are often based outside of London but need a central location to meet colleagues and clients.
Meeting Rooms - The Statistics
Of the latter group, The Office of National Statistics reports that 3.2 million people in the UK now telework. and about 250,000 more people are doing so every year. This presents a large growth opportunity in the market for meeting rooms that needs to be catered for.
Meeting Rooms - by Hubworking
At Hubworking, we have noticed that the greatest requirement is for smaller meeting rooms catering for between two and four people. Businesses requiring smaller meeting rooms are varied but the largest demand is from Business Coaches, Life Coaches and Career Coaches who often need to meet clients at a 'neutral' location.
Key requirements for meeting rooms
Teleworkers, or Mobile Workers, report that their main requirements for meeting room facilities are:
- A central location that is close to major transport links and is easy to find.
- A flexible approach to pricing with a transparent pricing model and the ability to pay per person per hour.
- The ability to book meeting rooms at short notice and the ability to cancel at short notice, without prohibitive cancellation charges, in the event that their client has had to reschedule.
- A comfortable and professional environment that adds credibility to their business.
Many of these businesses are independent operators and SME's, sometimes with limited budgets, therefore the requirement to balance costs whilst still projecting a professional image of their business is a difficult balancing act to achieve.
